API updates

• Official @livekit/agents-plugin-synthesia plugin for Node.js now available: attach a Synthesia Interactive Avatar to your LiveKit agent in a few lines of code. See the plugin reference and the npm package.

• Synthesia MCP now available in public beta: connect Synthesia to Claude or ChatGPT to create video drafts, generate videos, and search your library from the chat. You can also create and edit Syren videos by describing changes in chat.

• Billing API now available: retrieve your workspace’s current billing period and credit balance programmatically.
• Get the credit balance returns total, consumed, and available credits for the current billing period.

• Interactive Avatars API now available: embed a real-time, lip-synced avatar into your own product with turn-taking and interruptions built in.
• Official livekit-plugins-synthesia plugin (Python) attaches a Synthesia avatar to your LiveKit agent in a few lines of code.

• Dubbing API now available: automatically translate and re-voice video content into multiple target languages.
• Assets API added for managing uploaded files (video, image, audio) used as input for Dubbing and Video APIs.
• Assets API supports large file uploads via temporary AWS S3 credentials with multipart upload.

Rate limits for Synthesia’s APIs have been updated:

• Rate limits are now tiered, with the highest tier now offering up to 2x higher limits than before.
• Rate limits differ for read vs. write operations.

• List videos endpoint now accepts an optional query parameter for specifying the source of the video (either workspace, my_videos, or shared_with_me).
• List templates endpoint now accepts an optional query parameter for specifying the source of the template (either workspace, or synthesia).

• List videos & retrieve video responses and video.completed webhook payload now includes .srt / .vtt captions download URLs.
• New webhook event “video.failed” has been introduced.
• List videos & retrieve video responses and video.completed webhook payload now includes thumbnail download URL.
• List videos endpoint response will include all videos with at least 1 generated version, regardless of whether or not the current version is a draft.
• List templates endpoint response now includes both custom and stock templates.
• List videos endpoint response now includes videos from both Workspace and My videos.

Synthesia APIs are no longer in Beta and are generally available for Pro and Enterprise Synthesia plans.
